Alkoxy functional group silane oligomers/CAS No.: Epoxy/ acrylic acid/ polyurethane/alcohol acid and other systems (baking is preferred) (both water-based and oil-based)--Hangzhou Jessica Chemical Co., Ltd.
Alkoxy functional group silane oligomers

Product overview:

It can be used as the adhesion promoter and cross-linking agent for waterborne wood paint, waterborne adhesives and sealants.

Brief introduction of product:

JSC-1188 provides the promoting effect of adhesion that can be stored stably without yellowing, meanwhile, enhances the physical property in emulsion and water-based adhesives/sealant systems. When JSC-1188 is used as cross-linking agent or adhesion promoter, it can improve water resistance and adhesive strength in hygrometric state and has good storage stability.

Main advantages:

• With superior adhesive strength under both hygrometric  and dry states without yellowing, it can increase the tensile strength and maintain the performance of percentage elongation.

• It can increase the tear strength and durability with apparent consistent performance before and after aging, and it can improve the water resistance of solidifying materials.

Applications:

At pH value 6-8.5, JSC-1188 performs best in the emulsion containing carboxyl (acrylic acid, butylbenzene polyurethane, etc.).

As the adhesion promoter or cross-linking agent, JSC-1188 can be used in the following water-based one-component system:

• Laminating adhesives for automotive

•  Laminating adhesives for furniture

•  Flocking adhesives

In these applications, using JSC-1188 can achieve the purpose of one-component system replacing two-component water-based adhesives. The advantages of water-based one-component system of silane cross-linking lie in reducing fragments, improving the stability of process and decreasing the toxicity of cross-linking agent.

As follows, JSC-1188 in aqueous system, such as serving as the adhesion promoter in acrylic acid sealant, can continuously and obviously improve the water-based adhesive properties.

Adhesive properties:

It can enhance the adhesive strength under both hygrometric and dry states. Compared with the reference without this product, adding 1 part by weight (or about 0.4% of dosage) of JSC-1188 can significantly improve the peel strength without yellowing.

Storage stability:

JSC-1188 is specifically developed for enhancing the adhesive properties, meanwhile, has no negative impact on the storage stability of adhesives or sealants. As shown in the formula after aging for 4 weeks under 500ºC, the situation of its viscosity change is similar with the reference without JSC-1188, and obviously less than the current organic silicon application technology.

Generally speaking, because of the issue of storage stability, organic silicone can only reflect its performance advantages in high solid content and solvent-typed system, but is limited to be used in acrylic acid emulsion. JSC-1188 effectively eliminates this kind of limitation, makes the silicon cross-linking technology with storage stability possible in the future, and then excellent adhesive property is obtained.

Percentage elongation:

Traditional technology has negative impact on the percentage elongation, and JSC-1188 can maintain the percentage elongation of resin itself.

Tear strength:

While the impact on percentage elongation is improved, the increase on tear strength is also preserved.

Durability:

The durability created by the percentage elongation and the tear strength is superior to the additive amount suggested by the currently existing technology.

JSC-1188 does not cause yellowing.

Even after aging for 4 weeks under 500ºC, the already-prepared sealant still keeps the ability to link.

If the adhesive strength is to be enhanced, the initial additive amount is suggested being 1 part by weight or 0.4% of dosage into emulsion of 65% solid content.

If acting as the only cross-linking agent, it may need much more additive amount, the weight exceeding 2.5 may affect the storage period.
