Physico-chemical property:
Colorless transparent liquid; its flashing point is 96ºC, its density ρ(25ºC) is 0.946; its refractive index is n25ºC1.420 and its molecular weightis 221.4. It is miscible with ethanol, ethyl ether, toluene, xylene and other organic solvents, can react with CCl4 and be hydrolyzed into silicon alcohol under the influence of water. PH:9-10
Application field:
Plastic products, rubber products, coating, printing ink, composite material, magnetic materials, tackiness agent, foundry, composite amino silicon oil, and so on
Application objects:
1. Resin: phenolic aldehyde, urea-formaldehyde, furan, nylon, polyurethane, unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, acrylic acid resin and natural rubber, butylbenzene rubber, neoprene, nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, PE, PP, PVC, SBS, etc.
2. Filler: talcum powder, kaolin, mica, white carbon black, wollastonite, glass fiber, Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, metal and metal oxide, etc.
Product characteristics:
1. It is widely used in composite materials to optimize the compatibility between the macromolecule and inorganic substance, remarkably enhancing the tensile strength, flexure strength and other physical and mechanical properties of composite materials, as well as thermal properties, electrical properties and water-resisting property. It is especially suitable for all kinds of glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic and thermosetting resin, such as PP, PVC, PC, PA furan resin, epoxy resin, phenolic resin, polyurethane, polyimide and melamine resin. The usage amount of KH-550 is 0.2-1.0%, with the dry activation temperature after processing being 105-120ºC.
2. This product can be used as the raw material of the new generation of double amino modified silicone oil and a variety of organic silicon super soft finishing agents. The silicone oil, being modified with KH-550, has an affinity for fiber and can make fibers soft, smooth, pendulous, antistatic and washing anti-crease.
3. This product can enhance the bonding strength with 60% to 100% with 1% of solid content or less added into the hot melt glue of butyronitrile - phenolic aldehyde structural adhesive, polyethylene butyraldehyde - phenolic aldehyde adhesive and polyurethane adhesive holt melt adhesive. Sealant can achieve the permanently adherence on glasses, bricks and stones, metals and other base materials with KH-550 being added into polyurethane sealant and plastic melt sealant, with sound stability and high elongation under any weather.
4. This product can be used as adhesion promoter in coating and printing ink to enhance adhesive power, lower curing temperature and improve non-corrosibility.
5. This product used in casting industry can reduce the resin dosage in silica sand, increase the strength of molding sand(about 30%) and reduce the amount of gas evolution.
6. This product used in magnetic materials can enhance the scattered adhesive force of magnetic powder particles from plastic and rubber magnetism in the organic matters, making the orientation of magnetic particles higher, thus obtaining sound magnetic property, improving mechanical strength and weather fastness, and making the materials easier to be processed.

The results in the table show that: KH-550 can remarkably enhance the mechanical property of glass fiber reinforced plastics in dry and hygrometric states.
